In a bit of real life imitating art or Hollywood inbreeding [however you want to interpret it], the role of DC Comics superhero Firestorm in “Arrow” spinoff “The Flash” will be played by Robbie Amell – actual cousin of Stephen Amell, who plays Arrow in CW’s “Arrow”. Amell [“Tomorrow People”] plays Robbie Raymond – aka Firestorm – a STAR Labs worker who plays a part in the accident that helps turn Barry Allen [Grant Gustin] into The Flash.
Amell/Firestorm will make his debut in the third episode of “The Flash” – due to air on October 21, 2014.
