Why does AS have more incentive to rerun their old shows than CN?

If you look through the Cartoon Network-Adult Swim Schedules Archive Wiki and search any given short lived show from either of them, you'll find AS has been more prone to airing theirs than CN. Shows that barely anyone even remembers like Stroker and Hoop, Assy McGee, Saul of the Mole Man, Fat Guy Stuck in Internet, The Drinky Crow Show, Lucy the Daughter of the Devil, Xavier Renegade Angel, etc. have all been last shown anywhere from 2017-today, long after the series ended.

But for CN, most of their short-lived shows have not been aired ever since they ended or got canceled. These include but are not limited to Mike, Lu & Og, Sheep in the Big City, Time Squad, Robot Jones, Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi, Megas XLR, Sunday Pants, Squirrel Boy, Class of 3000, The Secret Saturdays, Symbiotic Titan, Generator Rex, Secret Mountain Fort Awesome, The Problem Solverz...

I heard that Puffy and Class of 3000 was due to copyright issues since both were based on real people, while Megas and Symbiotic were due to tax write-offs. Still most if not all of these (even Out of Jimmy's Head!) were acknowledged in the OK K.O. Nexus crossover but I'm not sure if that outright confirms CN still has the rights to air these shows.

To answer the title question, my only guess is that Adult Swim target an older and more nostalgic audience while CN primarily aims at kids, but said kids are barely watching cable TV anymore as streaming has become the next big thing, so that leaves the nostalgic adults with the TV to themselves hence why they extended AS's hours.

Cartoon Network Studios still has the ancillary rights to the literary material of those shows, meaning CN can do anything they want with them except for airing reruns.

Maybe the ancillary rights for some of the AS shows are easier because even the most obscure ones are niche shows.

Okay hear me out, Isn't it kind of crazy how CN never thought about doing a Kids Next Door x Teen Titans OG crossover back in the 2000s? There's five members of Sector V, five titans, and they both have super cool HQs. I'm telling you guys, a TT and KND crossover would've been so epic!
Watched the live-action "Moana" today and felt nothing that special compared to the original 2016 film. In fact, I don't remember much from the first animated film, but I think they barely changed anything in the 2026 version
@Sam the Cartoonist is right, I've registered on this site two times and I've enjoyed it! :) I'd posted this back in 2016, over ten years ago!
