Guess that Armen-Mikasa-Eren friendship that survived through the first four seasons is kaput.

With all the misery Zeke has caused (or had caused because of him), I really don't care if Levi chops him up into Kibbles and Bits.

Free will? Then why did it feel like Eren was manipulating Mikasa and Armin and setting them up for something in the near future... I guess the show's gonna end with Eren fighting them both.

Zeke made his move. So he knew about the tainted wine and played the waiting game until it was all used up. Bet Levi's thinking he should have chopped those limbs off right then and there.

Ha ha, of course, Levi would catch up to him and totally pwn him.

109th Cadet Corps or cannon fodder? Talking about purging and making the cadets beat up Keith to prove themselves. I'm with Hange. A bit too authoritarian. Plus the cadets having the standard brown uniforms on made it worse somehow, like Brownshirts/Hitler Youth bad.

That's one way to keep Zeke immobilized...

Wow Eren was cold this episode. I would never expected that from him. I don't know if he actually hates Mikasa now, but I don't believe that he always did.

We got an action scene involving titans after about 5 episodes of such not happening and a brief one to boot. The final season has quite a different feel from seasons 1-3, which were much more action and supernatural mystery/horror flavored. Season 3 did have a human vs. human conflict similar to this season, but it had over the top 3D manuevering gear battle scenes between humans. The final season post Marley battle has been mostly a war drama with some action scenes. The other big changes for this season is Eren's villain turn and the addition to new divisive character Gabi, who some see as annoying and others as a tragic character. The changes do at least keep the show from getting stale and this new direction has been well executed. There's still the ending in Winter 2021-2022 to determine if this final arc has a strong finish and if all the setup to what I assume is an action packed invasion of Paradis climax leads to something great or not.
