That's what I'm fearing for Double Dare. Marc said last month that Nick was very pleased with how its doing and they announced the live tour, but no renewal yet and the Sunday night slot for the rest of the season makes me worry it'll just be the one season.
Unfortunately someone on the We Saved the Jungle Movie Facebook page who is in contact with a staff member from the show said the pitched to Netflix a while ago and they rejected, but the staff is continuing their efforts to get season 6 on somewhere.
This article claims Netflix has ordered season 6, but after the first two paragraphs it's basically the same as the article yesterday and there's nothing yet to back it up: http://www.ladbible.com/entertainment/film-and-tv-hey-arnold-set-to-make-season-six-comeback-on-netflix-20180822
1. Arnold Shortman- Really helpful for advice and making you feel good about yourself, nice and chill, and if it's his room it's a no-brainer.
2. Skeeter Valentine- Probably would be really cool to hang out with
3. CatDog- Dog especially likes to have fun, Cat is laid back and intelligent.
As said, Viacom is definitely looking to reboot classic properties on streaming services with MTV and it looks like Nick also. They're preparing for the future with cable more and more dying out. I'd be fine with it on Netflix or another service and it might be better than being on Nick really...
The full credits aired after the Hey Arnold episode "Dino Checks Out" just now. Has that happened after this particular episode (or any other) before, or was it a mistake?
Because there's so much that can be done with Arnold and his parents and Arnold and Helga's relationship. He was with his parents just at the very end of the movie and there's plenty to show with them readjusting to life as parents and in the city as well as progressing Arnold and Helga as a...
Yes it's disappointing to hear that Nick doesn't have plans to do a new series on their network, but them shopping it to streaming services is great and it may be the better option really. I don't see why there wouldn't be interest in it given the sizable fandom and the reboot and 90s Nick...
I'm guessing they don't have the rights to the pilots since they never went to series, and I don't see any reason they would ever consider getting them back to air or have available online.
There's official confirmation that there will be another reboot besides Rugrats? Hey Arnold is the most likely, I could also see As Told By Ginger since there were rumors of it getting rebooted a couple of years ago. Maybe Angry Beavers since it's also had some reboot rumors in recent years, and...
That would be nice although it could also be the Really Loud Music special or Sitting Bull/The Spies Who Love Me which is next in production order if Loud House does lead-in the Power Rangers 25th anniversary episode.
With the Halloween themed set pictures I'm going to assume the remainder of the season will air in October. It's just a mid-season break right now which most cable shows do.
Wonder what the lead-in for the Power Rangers 25th anniversary episode will be on the 28th. The next new Loud House?
I was wondering about that too, and not having it be just Lincoln being friends with her or they become a couple kinda nullified the new girl plot in White Hare. They could've done this same plot with Girl Jordan. Anyway, it was quite predictable but still a good episode, some funny interactions...
Gown and Out- I liked that this episode didn't go the "blame Lincoln" route and there was good character development for Lola and nice Lola and Lori moments along with continuity nods, but as a whole I found it to be good not great. I wish they made it more of a Lola and Lori episode the way...
Breaking Dad- Great and very funny episode. Loved the dad and Lily and Mr. Grouse and Lily scenes. Cowbella cracked me up. Nice twist at the end too with the sweater. Definitely a good parent/child relationship episode. 8 out of 10.
Absent Minded- Not a bad episode but that great. Kind of a...
So it looks like Nick now considers a show successful as long as it does better than its Cartoon Network and Disney competition. Don't think there's any reason to not expect a second season now, and airing outside the summer should boost the numbers at least a little. Let's see how Marc taking...
So I guess Collin is doing Lincoln's voice for the remainder of season 3 and Tex takes over when season 4 begins.
I believe what's going on with the movie is up to Paramount, not so much the Loud House staff or Nick.
Television is a lot more fickle than it once was. Years ago a show was given time to gain an audience and pick up steam, but now there's less patience and a show is pegged as a hit or a failure early on. There are a few exceptions like Welcome to the Wayne, but for the most part a show...
Good for Tex, he didn't sound that different to Collin's Lincoln in the podcast so this time the voice change won't be a huge contrast like it was for Grant to Collin.
Crimes of Fashion- Solid episode with funny bits but nothing spectacular. The manager's son being the "thief" was a pretty good twist. 7 out of 10.
S
cales of Justice- Really good episode. Great story, nice running jokes, the mud monster bits were funny, loved the Peanuts references, and we got...
I still think mid-season break not season finale. Marc said in this interview three weeks ago- that they were 30 episodes in at that point and we know Nick ordered 40 (I guess they could've shortened it though). The Kenan and Kel episode hasn't aired yet either and isn't scheduled for next...
Double Dare is likely just going on a mid-season break and it'll be back sometime in the Fall. It's common in cable even when a show is high performing.
It's because of streaming and cable cutting.
Hate to say I told you so.
I like Collin's a lot more personally. Grant's was too monotone, Collin's has much more range and expression. I wonder how many episodes Collin has left before Tex takes over.
Using a child actor makes it more authentic and it keeps costs down. Having different voices can be odd or annoying, but it's not the end of the world.
On Reddit it was said Tex Hammond (Grey Griffin's son, he had a minor role in the Deal Me Out episode) did Lincoln's voice in this podcast. You can tell Collin's voice is getting deeper in the last set of new episodes and the promo for Crimes of Fashion. I heard a bit of the podcast and I...
If they actually promoted Gabriel Ilglesias's guest appearance last night it probably would've spiked up the ratings. Nick missed a big opportunity there.
They've rolled with the shows that work well and ditched what hasn't which is understandable. CN and Disney can take more risks with shows with a larger company behind them then Nick. Nick going in the reboot direction is a risk in some ways since they're very love it or hate it.
Outside of Loud House (and SpongeBob but it started well before) they haven't had a Nicktoon catch on this decade. Reboots and revivals make sense for them with the large base of classic 90s Nick fans and the media attention and ratings at least initially they bring. I have a feeling we'll be...
I meant as a new series following the movie. Craig Bartlett and the cast and crew are interested and Craig has an outline of the 6th season submitted. A high rating for TJM would've made it happen shortly after, but the Rugrats revival makes me think Hey Arnold could be just one of several down...
I was surprised at first but it makes sense for Nick to do more reboots since they generate buzz in the press and result in good ratings at least initially provided the timeslot and air date is right. Don't think Rugrats needs to come back at all, but I'll still watch out of curiosity. The movie...
