As of today (14/09/2011), Cartoon Network UK HD has launched.
Also, Cartoon Network UK SD has upgraded to broadcasting in 16:9 widescreen. Its sister channels, Cartoon Network Too, Cartoonito, Boomerang and Boomerang + 1 still broadcast in 4:3.
Only thing that worries me is that this opening uses footage from before the 16:9 HD switch. Therefore, once the show becomes HD, this opening cannot be used. As the openings normally last for 52 episodes, it makes me wonder whether they will switch to HD or not this season.
Ye, but this is Cartoon Network we're talking about. Their known for canceling popular series mid-arc (One Piece:sad:).
But the thing is...would Viz be willing to dub a show as long as Bleach, just for a DVD release? Aren't the current Bleach DVD's only up to about episode 45?
Just bringing this back up again, because

According to this, the bleach dub might not last much longer (probably to 104).

Fullmetal Alchemist

Wow, they are trying their best with the dub!!! I hope they try and get the dub on TV in other English speaking countries!
EDIT: THERE IS NOW A CLIP UP ON YOUTUBE THAT HAS LUFFY AND CHOPPERS NEW VOICES http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=9uvdf84z5Fc
Well, according to a post on Apforums, Funimation seem to be thinking about releasing some of their anime on Blu-ray. Looks like we may be getting widescreen HD One Piece dubs!!!! Although it is just a maybe, I hope it is true.

On the topic of the movies...
Surely Funi and CN will want to air the movies on TV, just like the Pokemon movies are currently (like the Pokemon Ranger one airing just before it came out on DVD).
Does this mean, if the Alabasta movie does air on CN, we'll have NEBRA there, along with...
Movie 9 is the Drum Arc

Looks like movie 9 is going to be a remake of Drum Island.
I wonder if Funi have licenced this too, and are going to dub it?
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Toei give the company in charge of the German One Piece the fullscreen masters? Looks like Funimation may have to ask Toei for the widescreen masters, or we're stuck with fullscreen
I read on Wikipedia that 'Rainbow Mist' will not air in the US, and only be released on DVD, is this true, are we really only six episodes away from the Funimation dub?
