This may surprise you but the franchise could've been under Disney as Bob Iger revealed in a recent interview that he attempted to acquire the franchise (and presumably Eon Productions) but to no avail.

As someone who hates Disney, I would absolutely prefer Disney to boring Craig era on last 20 years or arrogant and overly gloomy filmmakers like Villeneuve and Steven Knight for Bond 26. But I still don't understand how they had planned to convince Babs and Michael.
