Adult Swim International News Thread

It's wild to me that there's going to be a few months without any legal way to stream AS content especially when Smilling Friends season 3 just premiered. Feels like bad timing but it is the way it goes with rights tbf. The one thing I could think of is maybe they could have put content on Discovery+ or DMAX (which aired archer & Bojack horseman in the past) as a holdover till HBO max launches but i'd highly doubt they'd do that.

Even surprised Italy doesn't even have any way of viewing Adult Swim content legally which is insane.

Adult Swim in europe is just very messy in general. I love adult swim but nothing really lives up to the US version with it's unique idents, bumpers, asthetic, toonami etc. Atleast attempts were made in places like Germany, UK, France etc.

Still glad for the 6 years of Channel 4 having adult swim content. I remember watching Adult Swim on Fox & TruTV. While I feel on a linear scale, E4 was kinda lacking with Adult Swim content only really having one or two shows and no real ident except for the rick & morty ident, but i'd still absolutely take it especially when it comes to having a large collection of shows available on demand for free.

Here it is, the continuity of Robot Chicken's final airing on E4 Extra, marking the complete end of Adult Swim on UK/Ireland linear television.

It's going to be weird going to the Adult Swim screening event at Manchester Animation Festival next month, as there will be no legal way to stream/watch episodes (except digital purchases) up until HBO Max launches, and I'll be seeing stuff before it's even released in the U.S.

We do have HBO Max, but for many years, watching AS shows legally was a pain because barely anyone had the rights.

Until HBO Max was officially launched in Denmark, Adult Swim content was hardly accessible (if even at all) in Denmark to my knowledge.

The now-defunct MOV channel here used to air Robot Chicken and NTSD:SF:SUV in 2013.

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
