'The Big Bang Theory' is entering the multiverse as sci-fi spinoff 'Stuart Fails To Save The Universe' gets a HBO Max pickup and premise is revealed.

After being announced as an unnamed project in April 2023, A spin-off to The Big Bang Theory titled Stuart Fails to Save the Universe has been ordered at HBO Max (formerly Max, formally HBO Max), thus becoming the third TBBT spin-off after 2017's Young Sheldon and 2024's Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage.

It takes in the future where comic book store owner Stuart Bloom has to restore reality after causing a multiverse armageddon by accidentally destroying a device that Sheldon and Leonard built after the original series.

I’m intrigued. I wish it came on CBS so I don’t have to worry about subscribing to another streaming service. I also hope they don’t decide to make it TV-MA just because they are on streaming.

I'm saddened that this doesn't appear to have a laugh track, but at least the trailer showed off that the show's having fun with this premise (the epic version of I Need a Hero that started playing towards the end was a little lame though).

This trailer's got a better music choice than the previous one, though I feel like it could've poked fun at the premise a little more (I do kinda like the plot of alternate universe Stuart interacting with main universe Stuart to warn him about the future).
