International Nickelodeon Thread Part 17

Nick Poland continuity from 19th June:

NickToons UK continuity from 6th June:

BTW, I'm planning to watch "Wylde Pak" some day looking at the thumbnail in the continuity video.

I wish Nicktoons over here would just pack up already.

The same could go for Nick Jr. Too and Comedy Central Extra as well since both channels are already redundant, given the fact that they're not carried by EE TV and NOW, nor is available on Sky Go (although Nicktoons is available on there) if not connected to a nearby Sky Q box.

I was at Shangri-La Hotel last weekend and yesterday, I noticed that Cignal used the fanmade Nickelodeon logo (the old splat logo with the 1984 wordmark replaced by the 2009 wordmark, if you look closely) on their channel guide

Reminds me of when Boomerang's new logo was revealed and, since no high quality version existed yet, @BlooMac made his own recreation and was quickly used by TV providers the world over.

In Bulgaria the operator Bulsatcom was using the first NickToons logo (I don't know if they are still using it).

New fillers aired yesterday on Nickelodeon Global Unlimited (CEE)

I'm still not fully used to see a textless feed. They won't find a solution like Spain to enable localized promos again.

Paramount has always treated Nickelodeon in the Portuguese market as an underdog, refusing to launch a fully-localized feed.

Portugal doesn't have the population to sustain local feeds all the time, especially sitting next to a "power" like Spain

Canal Panda couldn't have been that popular, had THAT much of a monopoly, as to scare Viacom and Turner off for YEARS.

Well, Italy skipped on having TCM... Maybe that little channel called Studio Universal was the issue. (I miss you, Studio Universal Italy, top 3 of Italian channels I'd revive in an heartbeat if I had money)
Perhaps Canal Panda really was that powerful!

But then again Disney sustained fully-localized feeds for kids channels for over 23 years and Turner/WBD for nearly 11. The only fully-localized Paramount network here was MTV which finished its consummation into MTV Global a few months ago.

That's it: some operations can localise, but not all of them.

Not enough eyeballs to cover all the "interests", so some pan-feeds are inevitable, better than not having the channel at all anyway.
Pan-Iberian and Pan-Europe is better than no pan-no.

I feel like that for a market like Portugal is better to have purely local channels than some random "localised" channel from the US, anyway

In January of 2025, Clan was planning to add a Catalan track, including Basque and Galician, to their cartoons, including SpongeBob, which was set to air in the fall of that year, but got postponed to Spring 2026 as RTVE had other plans to bring their dead project; that is, their Catalan-only version of La 2, which launched around the same time frame, October 2025.

Then Spring 2026 arrived, and what we got was a bait and switch, no Catalan audio track, and instead we got Catalan subtitles.

Worse even was RTVE losing the rights to all Nick shows

Remember when Nickelodeon Latin America aired movies like this, they stopped airing theatrical movies since 2020, which made themselves a laughing stock.

And aside from Nickelodeon Movies, some of their properties like Hey Arnold!, Rugrats, and Jimmy Neutron have aired on Cartoon Network in Latin America, only the movies.

Everyone applause these two characters, for soon getting their own spin-off full animated series!!! (who would have expected a series with PB and Marceline anyway? I know they have an upcoming comic book series which will go well with)

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
