Cartoon Network International News Thread 27.0

Likely they noticed the ratings were much higher for the show compared to their other weekend morning shows when it only used to air at that time. I don't mind it airing a lot. Although I never expected them to care about this specific show.
and sometimes I wonder why the CEE feed randomly started airing and promoting Bunnicula back in August, only to remove the show three months later or so in November.

Makes you think they would air it for longer, or even keep it permanently like they do with Clarence, but probably the ratings said to do otherwise. I still would like for Looney Tunes Cartoons to return to the main line-up again sometime on CN CEE..... They will air it as part of the Summer Plans stunt next month, but still, if WE can have it everyday, why not us?

I have some gripes but overall a pretty good schedule it's good that they will air ben 10 on the main CN channel instead of cartoonito (CEE...)
actually I counted the number of shows CN Africa has and it is about 16 to 17 if we count them airing the original Teen Titans on the weekends that's 17 to 18 now correct me if I'm wrong but that is a bit more than what WE has

and sometimes I wonder why the CEE feed randomly started airing and promoting Bunnicula back in August, only to remove the show three months later or so in November.

In some places a certain show is less popular than in others. Although I agree that Looney Tunes is popular and I don't really get why they don't want to air it regularly. It's not like every show manages to get as good ratings as Gumball if this is really what their strategy is.

They should air their shows more so they can grow overtime. That's the problem. They are stuck in the 2010s. There are barely shows rerunning that came from the 2020s. TTG and Gumball became so popular mainly because these were given good treatment from the beginning.

Depending on whether you count all the classics or not, which rotate nearly weekly, CN WE has 21 shows:
  • Adventure Time
  • Bunnicula
  • Clarence
  • Courage the Cowardly Dog
  • Cow & Chicken
  • Craig of the Creek
  • Dexter's Laboratory
  • Goat Girl
  • The Heroic Quest of the Valiant Prince Ivandoe
  • Jade Armor
  • Lana Longbeard
  • Looney Tunes Cartoons
  • Powerpuff Girls
  • Regular Show
  • Regular Show: The Lost Tapes
  • Steven Universe
  • Teen Titans Go!
  • The Amazing World of Gumball
  • The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball
  • Totally Spies
  • Uncle Grandpa
honestly... CEE/WE is not doing anything that exciting for summer in my humble opinion just some generic summer promo reused from last year and yet another gumball block that's really the best the German (and Spanish to an extent) team can think of?

I mean WE has such a good schedule but creativity in the branding promotions etc is at a all time low right now im sorrry to say
I absolutely have to agree, in terms of presentation both channels are absolutely boring and bland and have been better before the merges to some extent, in my opinion

But in terms of programming and events, CN WE (and CEE) still do a good job. They have enough events for the whole summer (maybe even too many, as a fellow duck in this thread rightfully thinks)

And even though 4 out of 5 of these stunts are recycled, it's still decent enough:

  • Best Summer Ever (general promotion of the summer schedule, June/July/August)
  • Summer with Gumball (slightly increased Gumball airings throughout the whole schedule, June/July)
  • Travel the Creek (4 selected episodes of Craig of the Creek per day, from Monday, June 22nd to Sunday, 28th, WE only)
  • "Top Plans" or whatever they're gonna call it (each day has a different summer plan with selected episodes, from Monday, July 13th, airing all July, Monday to Friday)
  • Summer Festival (selected episodes to fit the musical/summer theme, airing from Saturday, August 15th, weekends)

i think there should only be 1 or 2 (original) summer events in my opinion it does not make sense to have 5 events if most of them are reused while we're at it bring back the Popcorn Time and star of the week block to give some variety (they should be a bit more like Africa they do many creative pormos and events if you have seen before)

as for programming WE i will agree on that but CEE while it's getting better still needs a bit more work

RSEE was so much worse in the early 2020s. It was the worst in the world outside of maybe India and Turkey.

Most of the countries now get an improved version of CN actually with no more mixed looks. The only countries that were better as a local feed were Portugal and sometimes France although for the latter it was more about better events, not the schedule itself was great.

Nordic was so bad in it's final year that they recycled promos and didn't even mention the timeslots. It was really that bad. I feel like they are in a much better state. I'm not going to miss a local feed. Let's enjoy what we got. Things can be much better but at least WE is better than the local feeds of UK and Italy. I don't want to go back to local feeds as they would rot even more than before merging.

I'm so sick of Dimensional. Imagine if Nick kept using the Superestudio branding for this long. That had already gotten old by the time it was replaced. If they can't even be bothered to change up the looks, what does that say about the channel itself?

i mean good that they dont have mixed looks but WE/CEE can certainly still do better in the branding aspect if they want to keep Dimensional for many years

Me too but they updated the Dimensional look. They just had a small rebrand a few years ago and I don't see them dropping it as there's a lot of budget cuts so expect this to last until early 30s. It is what it is. If making a new look is expensive on top of the mergers then they just have to stay as they are. The channel state is also like this just what I explained in this same post.

What Does Cartoon Network EMEA Keeping Dimensional for Many Years Mean?
A Permanent Look, or A Fixed-Term Look? (Just Asking Nicely)

it means a permanent look because as far as i'm concerned they will use it until the channel shuts down or something

They were likely planning to rebrand some years ago but then the WBD merger messed things up.

I don't really see them rebranding if Paramount is successful. Actually it's more unlikely then.

Warner Bros Discovery Latin America has picked up the forthcoming eighth season of espionage-themed animated children’s series Totally Spies! and renewed Italian cartoon Topo Gigio for Discovery Kids.

The deals were struck by Banijay Kids & Family, which also revealed further sales of children’s programming from its catalogue.

Watched Toy Story 5 today. It felt like another awesome escapade for the characters, while also they taught an important lesson: it's ok to be different, especially if you still like to play with toys. Lily turned from an antagonist to a hero of the movie, because of realising exactly that.
