International Nickelodeon Thread Part 17

Does anyone know since when are those titles there? I can only think of a pre-SST timeline. But then again Nickelodeon titles were easily licenceable to Netflix even without SST and P+

Nobody calls SkyShowtime "SST" and "SKYShowtime" outside of you.

And besides, I'm pretty sure that all NOS customers (including you) actually do have some access to SkyShowtime.

I don't

This website might be hosting the "lost" Norwegian dub of Little Charmers?
If so, then the only one of the main three Scandinavian dubs that is truly "lost" is Swedish.

How is it possible that you somehow don't have access to it then despite the information I have provided above?

And besides, do you even have enough euro in your monthly allowance to consistently pay for a monthly SkyShowtime subscription (even the cheaper ad-supported plans)?

I don't have a subscription to the service in my plan, let alone having an account

Rippers mostly call Sky Showtime as "SKST".
Anyways, other audiotracks are still active on Nicktoons HD Poland, so the banned "Max and the Midknights" episodes aren't technically lost.
Also, Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom is shown on Nick Jr. PL opt-out feed, but idk whether the show was dubbed into Serbian and Slovenian, not to mention that I haven't checked the SR and SLO tracks.

There's no need to be rude though...

I can see this nonsense about the Nickelodeon removals is starting to spread on social media as well.

What people should know is that SkyShowtime typically acquires streaming rights for relatively short periods. Movies are usually available for about six months, while Nickelodeon shows, if I remember correctly, are licensed for one or possibly two years.

This current batch of removals is not some kind of tax write-off or anything similar. The licenses are simply reaching their expiration dates. And knowing SkyShowtime, they'll most likely renew them anyway, just as they have every year.
For example, among the titles on the list, Kamp Koral is already showing an availability date through 2028, while PAW Patrol is listed through 2030.

Because of this, I believe the list is either a much older one that has only recently started circulating on certain forums (such as this one), or SkyShowtime has already begun renewing the licenses, as the two examples above seem to indicate.

I'd like to apologise, my intention wasn't to spread misinformation; I made the list above based on what I saw on the app. The leaving banners still appear, just checked. But now I do begin to wonder if their system is buggy, as in the check is done only by verifying the month and day? Weird though.

@BloggerHU thank you for clarifying, we all thought this had to do with a number of factors, but I was never aware of the licensing one.

The current situation is a bit difficult to assess because, while it is true that several titles are currently scheduled to expire next month, this is actually quite common for SkyShowtime.

Until the license is renewed in the system, meaning June 19 is still listed as the last day the title will be available, the countdown timer will continue to appear on the show's page and count down toward that date.

If the countdown disappears, that usually indicates that the license has been renewed and the title will remain available on the service.

And that scares the users. Enjoy them while you can, until the license is renewed.

This can be misleading mainly in the case of Nickelodeon content. However, it can be quite useful for other shows and movies that are genuinely leaving the service and, in the best-case scenario, only return several months later.

Best-case scenario: Everything gets renewed in time.
Worst-case scenario: We end up with something similar to what HBO Max in Europe ended up doing to multiple Warner Bros. Animation titles at the start of this year (including the entire first seven seasons of Teen Titans Go!, an ongoing series which is one of Cartoon Network's flagship programs).

SkyShowtime expirations are annoying, besides its the only way to watch Big Nate (2022), Middlemost Post (Season 1 set to expire on June 19, and Season 2 next year), and It's Pony! (216-220; set to expire on June 19). You can watch them here on iTunes and Amazon in the US :) or alternative to watch it free from the pirate bay. :coach:

But anyways, Nickelodeon Australia FTA is airing new episodes of SpongeBob and a Loud House Christmas: Naughty or Nice. Those never aired on Nickelodeon AU and NZ after their shutdown on December 2 except new episodes of SpongeBob on Sky Kids New Zealand.

(Had to delete the old reply as I incorrectly replied someone from the thread)

I hope this is indeed the case.
