The only things I watch on Toonami are Dragon Ball Daima and Blue Exorcist. The others aren't very good. I've been out of the loop since Lycoris Recoil ended.

Sci-Fi outbidded Adult Swim for Gundam 00, Adult Swim outbidded Toonami for Bleach, and then there's information disseminated from Pre-Flight in recent years with streaming services outbidding Toonami for Sailor Moon (Viz dub, remaster) and other series such as Made in Abyss.

When the black & white [adult swim] bumper era started in 2003. Just like how the original Toonami's first era ended when TOM and the Absolution were created. To me, a programming block or network's eras end when they create a new interface that's entirely different from what came before it...

Toonami died the moment it was taken off weekdays on Cartoon Network. It's been moribund since being relegated to a once a week broadcast. The only reason it was "revived" after its initial cancelation was because it was easy to just rebrand Adult Swim Action as Toonami, given the internet...

Agreed. Nobody will give ground on either side of the discussion because of completely different ideas for what Toonami should be and continuing the convo will only lead to badly hurt feelings and aggressively defensive behavior (neither on my part though, I'm chillin). :donald:

Those are mature shonen? In Hunter's case, I stopped watching because it shouldn't take 40+ episodes for a series to heat up, the kid protagonist is a nuisance, and I was never interested in JoJo, so I can't say much about it other than it seemed wacky, talky, and nonsensical in its 1st season...
