Man.....that was it wasn't it?
Honestly, my only gripe, and this is personal and very petty...........I kinda wished Mordecai and Margaret were together.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, still in that mindset since the beginning. Guess it never worked out.
Ah well, again, that was it. That was fantastic...
So I've been catching up on this show since it's ending and all, and I just saw these last two.
I gotta say, I do think this final season has been rather weak overall in comparison to 7 (which is one of the best seasons the show had), but holy moly, these past few episodes have been phenomenal...
This show sure knows how to tug those heartstrings.
And that song was gorgeous. Reminds me of Vince Guaraldi's work, and it's a perfect fit.
Oh yeah, this was the season finale, too. Actually makes more sense why this had a big impact.
I have a feeling we're getting a visit from a certain...
Oy vey, is this getting intense or what.
So Rose did shatter Pink Diamond. That's pretty hard-hitting even if we knew about it. That'll be one hell of a flashback should they decide to do that.
And did the gems even know about it or did they just not tell Steven?
And way to go with that...
It is damn hard to follow up an act like Bismuth, but did these episodes two try their hardest.
I think it comes down to pacing. As much as this episode did, perhaps it did too much. Amethyst's power arc looks resolved, Jasper's arc looks resolved (for now), we learned a lot about the...
........Bismuth was freaking awesome.
An excellent character story that was brilliantly told, only possible with a double episode, such great personality and depth displayed, too. And flaws as well.
We learned so much with this one, so much lore, so much about our characters, so much about...
Honestly, I think it'll be more of a Raimundo than that, should that occur.
Which if it does, I hope will have a certain twist to it, given how SU likes to subvert these kinds of common tropes.
Hmm...that was a bit less emotionally enticing than what I was expecting, but that was still pretty good. And ponytail Amethyst is adorbs.
This is hardly the end of Amethyst's insecurities about herself, though. That desire for power is still pretty blatant.
Tomorrow's should be even more...
That was pretty good, but the animation was just kinda all over the place. The contrast between the first/second half is pretty jarring. It's not irritating, but consistency would have been nice.
The one thing I'm glad about is how it seems Steven/Amethyst will be facing each other as friends...
Well, we're off to a good start. These corrupted gems don't look so mindless after all. These ones in particular, especially if Jasper of all people were very interested in obtaining them (my guess is two of Roses' old comrades, or at least really REALLY powerful gems).
This episode was quite interesting. I honestly never expected Greg and Vidalia to be friends, or on speaking terms at least. And baby Sour Cream is just as chill as the one we know, who knew.
I found Rose's naivety about humans to be a bit uncomfortable at first, but it makes for an interesting...
