I was bummed to see it was only a 2 CD set, and now I know why. Kudos for releasing everything possible! Just purchased this and JL. Doing my part to keep them coming. Pleasant surprise too, I didn't realize these were in the works.
My car got broken into while I was in the movie theater, and I'm seriously tempted to give that a better review.
I knew the first half was controversial, but I went in very open minded -- it's Bruce Timm and Alan Burnett, it's probably going to be just fine -- right? Wrong. I can swallow the...
Maybe it's the adult beverage I'm sipping on, but did I seriously just read a new post by the one and only Robin III? Oh my god. And The Old Maid too --- the nostalgia!
Every so often I peak in on all the news I've missed and this time I just happened to have stumbled upon this thread. It's...
While you are right that Fox was more strict, let's keep in mind the context. Back in the early 1990's no childrens shows got away with what Fox let the WB crew do on BTAS. I don't think I could personally describe their BS&P rules could as ridiculous. As a whole they were very easy going...
Picked this up the other week and it's actually better then I remembered it being. It's a solid show. It doesn't have the intensity of some of the other DCAU shows, but the special features explain the reasoning behind the lighter tone. Robert Goodman says on the disc that it was originally...
Either millions of people are buying it (doubtful) or the number of figures made is rather small... thus making it rare. ;)
Scalpers don't help matters either.
Very smart of Warner Brothers. Easy way for them to rehash old stock art and bring in new kids to the world of DC Comics in animation. It reminds me of the old DC Kids websites from back in the day.
Yes it is amazing and yes Mattel will run out of characters sooner or later, but if they want to they can make just about any DC Comics character into the "Animated Style" and rename the line. Therefore, you don't need a show to support the toy line.
Regarding your point about how they should...
To be fair I was going to post this before I viewed Dusty's post... DB, is there anything you won't complain about?
I can see your point on this subject to an extent, but honestly your responses to most topics are quite predictable. I haven't visited here much over the past couple years and I...
Depends. Are diffrent people making the show? Then that's an easy, "No." If it's the same team making the show; then maybe -- best to leave it in the hand's of the show's creators.
Bottom line -- why should it matter? I seem to recall The Batman not being very popular with fans, now everybody...
Well, it’s been a few years since I’ve followed much of anything in regards to animation – I finally got caught up on JL & JLU this month believe it or not. With that said, I enjoyed the movie a lot. I don’t fully understand the negative tone of this thread. It wasn’t the best flick we’ve ever...
This is the only one I remember how to get to. (Back in the day we had a file that kept track of them... haha...)
Go to the menu, and above the building's door (under "Site Team") you'll seen a small, tan WF logo. Click on it.
I recently made the same transition myself... one of the few upgrades that they've done that I actually liked. The vectors work a little differently, but once you get the hang of it, it's fine.
On the DKA front... we're making progress, folks!
From the colorist…
My sincere apologies to everyone. My ever increasing workload has made it difficult to get this task completed. Lucky for you all this is my last DKA commitment, so I can’t stink up the show once this gets finished! I’m finding time to finish filling in the backgrounds and...
Haha -- that turned out really evil looking! Great to see with the dialouge in place. GS is right it is very much DKA. Can't wait to read the rest of the strips -- hope to have the next colors ready this weekend.
