Marvel Comics Animation - Figures & Collectibles Talkback Thread (Spoilers)

I've been collecting these Marvel Legends X-Men 97 figures... I am very much looking forward to that Beast to round out the team! I've still not seen the 80's suit/2 packs at a reasonable price (I loathe Hasbro Pulse!) but I am hopeful more figures will be announced soon

    "Superman (2025)" Feature Talkback (Spoilers)

Fantastic film. The Superman movie I’ve waited all my life at the cinema to see after far too many disappointing trips to the cinema. I’m hoping it has legs before Fantastic Four comes in week after next and we get news of a Superman sequel soon!

"Spider-Man '94" Comic News & Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

I cannot believe Marvel is letting art of this quality be released. It is beyond terrible. The show was not known for its artistic style, but this is insultingly bad. Inexcusable.

"Spider-Man '94" Comic News & Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

While it absolutely should be Semper writing it, I’m happy to see the TAS version of Spidey return in some format. Morlun and Kane are interesting choices, I just hope JMD has done his homework.

Kraven The Hunter in Animation: A Retrospective

Carrying on with Spider-Man cartoons that seemingly just came and went, Spider-Man: The New Animated Series was another Spidey show that never made it to season two. One could tell that as soon as the show was announced, it was a troubled production. Originally announced as Ultimate Spider-Man...

Kraven The Hunter in Animation: A Retrospective

The 1990s Spider-Man animated series was Marvel's most ambitious animated project to date. With the X-Men and Batman both enjoying massive success on the Fox network, they decided to move ahead with Spider-Man. Batman: The Animated Series writer Marty Pasko was originally hired as the shows...

Kraven The Hunter in Animation: A Retrospective

To celebrate (...?) of the release of the live action Kraven The Hunter movie no one asked for, I thought it would be nice to have a quick look back over the animated appearances of one an old school Spider-Man villain before his name becomes associated with failure, like Madame Web and Morbius...

    "The Penguin" Series Talkback (Spoilers)

Miloti is surely a shoe in for whatever awards are available for best performing actress. Riveting stuff so far. I have to to admit, I’m liking this much more than the film it was spun off from. Tremendous so far!

Preludes of Nocturna: The History of Bruce Timm and Vampires in DC Animated Shows...

Interesting in that 2 of the 10 episodes of Caped Crudsder have been ideas that were forbidden in TAS, with Nocturna and Gentlemen Ghost (but I’m not aware of the no Ghosts allowed in TAS rule was self imposed or not) They also weren’t allowed to have Police officers be corrupt which all but...

The Penguin in Animation: A Retrospective

The announcement of a new Batman cartoon came as welcome news in May 2021. The first Batman show since the blink and you’ve missed it Beware The Batman cartoon was announced as a collaboration between HBO Max and Cartoon Network. The Cartoon Network news worried me personally given their awful...

The Penguin in Animation: A Retrospective

Huh, I didn’t even know that was available here, but Amazon confirms your right. Baffled how The Batman didn’t get a release. I doubt I’d have bought it, but still, I imagine demand for a 2000s show is much higher than a 70s one ‍♂️

The Penguin in Animation: A Retrospective

We don’t get them here in the UK, I usually have to get Yank sets on ebay and pay scalpers fees. I swear, WB bellyached this show wasn’t supported enough then made it so hard to support. I’ve still yet to see a Young Justice action figure with my own eyes

The Penguin in Animation: A Retrospective

I haven’t seen it yet, sadly. No Phantoms in the UK and the Blu Ray hasn’t been released yet

The Penguin in Animation: A Retrospective

With the news that DC was going to ambitiously launch it’s own streaming service, the first question many wondered aloud was how much original content would be created to convince consumers to sign up to yet another streaming service. With Warner Bros. itself not owning/creating it’s own...

The Penguin in Animation: A Retrospective

I may have slight bias towards it, given my love for the Arkham games. I thought it was very well done Probably the most interesting I’ve ever found the Suicide Squad too.
