is this the creepiest and darkest 30's short Toon?

Hmmm....and to think I just deleted my own post due to its tone....we still wonder what the cartoon is.. as for 1930s, I suspect MGM's "Bottles" (Hugh Harman for Harman-Ising) was it, from 1936, which is MY fsaovrite of that type.

    Buddy vs post-1964 WB cartoons

Carroll's? Never heard of it, but I used to see those at Taco Bell (Speedy might like that place, just like Del Taco and El Pollo Loco and others!). Cool Cat=6 shorts Merlin=5 Bunny and Claude=2 I prefer the 1930s cartoons though I like some of the later 60s ones.

The Cat Came Back (1936) - Final Scene Edited?

I haven't seen the 1940s reissue myself..a stock music cue of "Ain't we got fun"? I've seen the 1955 issue (exclusively) MANY times,though...

Warner Bros. Blue Ribbon Issues, 1954-1959

Another thing, "French Rarebit" (1951), one of the vermillion colored ringed Blue Ribbons (1959-64), rather than the Vitaphone Corporation credit for copyright, had the later Warners copyright (MCML) ; also Bugs is in the modern day horizontal title graphic before the cut to the title. I wish I...

    Favorite Felix the Cat cartoon

None of those are on there, a major segment is left out. 1959's one with the diamonds made from lightning, with the Professor and his tough bestie Rockbottom (Don't forget those Poindexrter, Rock, Prof.etc. shorts---it did not end in the earlier era. The TV ones form 1957-1962 are the ones I...

Why does it seem Foghorn Leghorn isn't more popular?

Hi, I'm back, saw this topic. Two words: Robert McKimson. Outside of the Tasmanian Devil, his character's don't get a lot of respect------------------if any..sad. (Of course that also describes Foghorn's fate at the end of his cartoons except "Crowing Pains", "High and Flighty" and a few others..

    R.I.P. Janet Waldo

RIP to a longtime favorites. Originally a longtime network radio sitcom favorite as the title show's proto-Judy like Corliss Archer.

    The Mistreatment Of Daffy Duck

Very interesting and the artist who you mentioned at the top of the reply (and who shall remain nameless) posted in John Kricfalusi's JOHN K., STUFF! blog about 5 years ago on the very same thing. BTW I HAVE seen GREETING cards with Daffy as being Daffy AND an authorized 1989 fake "VIPO" card...

    The Mistreatment Of Daffy Duck

Totally agreed. Because of McKimson, we have: Daffy being a salesman to Porky and to Fudd Daffy outwitting Elmer and Tasmanian Devil Daffy even being teams with Foghorn and the Barnyard Beagle!! Daffy and Bugs rivalry occasionally.. even a few one shot early 1960s Daffys like the "Mutiny on the...
