Well, to be technical, that's the *retconned* original origin.
In the ORIGINAL original origin, Brainiac (#1) was just another alien. He had green skin, because, you know, aliens have green skin. He was obviously not a mechanical entity as he needed to go into suspended animation during long...
So, to explain further, Chuck wasn't a special member of the Blackhawks. He was just another one of them.
The Blackhawks consisted of their leader Blackhawk (Janos Prohaska) and a handful of other miscellaneous guys from various countries, including a rather non-politically correct Chinese...

Or, in other words:
Stupid hair puffs? No.
Shrinking power? No.
Bare face? No.
Big stinger things that have to be held? No.
Incredible strength and fighting ability? No.
The comics Bumblebee just has a suit she invented that lets her...
The reason that Americans call the British has to do with the fact that at one point in history, the British navy were given limes to prevent scurvy. So, the Americans saw all these British people sucking on limes all the time and thought, "What's up with that? The British people must really...
Hey, there was that episode where the Flash stopped the Ultra-Humanite's evil plan to fire a rocket at the sun! Everybody's forgetting that episode.
Oh, wait, that was a commercial for the action figures. Never mind. (I thought it was odd that they chose *Flash* of all the heroes to focus the...
Her powers are definitely not the same. The comics Raven has *no* telekinesis or flight powers for example, and doesn't chant Azrath Metrion Zinthos before doing anything.
The comics Raven's main powers are:
(1) Teleportation
(2) Empathy (She can feel what others are feeling. She can even...
I assumed that John, having given up on his relationship with Hawkgirl, now wants to resume a relationship with Katma. And since, unlike the comics, all the Green Lantern Corps seems to be hanging around Oa with nothing better to do, John wants to be on Oa with her.
After all, it's not like...
Almost everything about the plot was stupid.
How does Cyborg work? He's a CYBernetic ORGanism, meaning that parts of him are still human. You would think that would include his brain. If not, then he's no more a Cyborg than Ahnold's Terminator is. If his brain is human, no computer virus...
Originally, Mordru was a foe of the Legion of Super-Heroes in the 30th Century. With his magical powers, he was set to take over the entire galaxy but was opposed by the dozens and dozens of heroes in the Legion of Super-Heroes, which included in its ranks such powerhouses as the pre-Crisis...
As someone who has been reading comics for three decades now, I can't imagine why anybody would ever *start* reading comics with comics the way they are currently.
Here are some reasons not to read comics (by which I really mean just mainstream superhero comics):
(1) Comics are overpriced...
Not to mention his evil plan to get the, uh, power stuff. He wouldn't want to steal the stuff because... maybe he would get caught? So, he waits for Robin & Red X to go in and steal the stuff, hoping to capitalize on this distraction to avoid getting caught? Except his guys aren't stealthy guys...
How about when she used her mace to reflect tons and tons of energy blasts (like when fighting Brainiac)? It can't be too easy to consistently hit beams of energy moving at the speed of light. Especially over and over again. Wonder Woman's skill in bracelets is a big deal because she can reflect...
I'd dispute some of those numbers. Thanagarians aren't exactly human. They (at least the Silver Age version, on which the toon version seems to be based) have superhuman strength and resistance to injury, just like Aquaman does. Thanagarians even have special coatings to allow themselves to...
