I do wonder what characters they will be introducing in the third Sonic movie besides Shadow? Amy Rose would be a good candidate and Rouge the Bat could serve as a close friend to Shadow. The question though is how would they balance so many characters in the third movie without shafting anyone?

Honestly, I don't think that newer cartoons are better than older cartoons, just like how older cartoons are not necessarily better than the newer cartoons. Cartoons in general have been around for years, so everyone has grown up with a different set of cartoons and asking whether new cartoons...

I will admit that I am a bit surprised that they are dropping the third Sonic movie in December, as it's competing with Avatar 3. Either Paramount has got a lot of confidence in this property to pull in more numbers or they have big plans for the third movie's story line.

They just recently released some new images for Sonic Prime and they are looking pretty good! Although, I do wonder why these scenes are set during dusk.

I'm actually okay with the movie soundtrack. It sounds pretty fine to me. My only grip with the movie soundtrack is that they keep using popular pop songs like "Uptown Funk" when they could easily make up their own songs, a la Disney.

I don't think that Sonic Prime has anything to do with the movies. It was pretty much announced before the movies became a thought and it seems to be more faithful to the games than the movies were.

Most people probably don't want to deal with politics in animation, so most animated projects avoid politics as much as possible.
