Thank you Moto Pete!
I don't think I've watched more than five consecutive minutes of Jimmy Fallon's show (nothing against him, usually asleep), but will have to catch this. I imagine they will be promoting the US DVD release. Wonder if they will be themselves or in character?

"The Mighty Boosh" is a new Sunday night favorite after just two episodes.
A few questions:
1) How many episodes in each series?
2) Does each series feature the same characters, or are some added or deleted?
3) Are series one & two comparable to series three, or is it like Red Dwarf...
According to an article in the Carl Barks Library, there were plans to feature Scrooge McDuck in a short in the 1950s. It would have been released as part of the Donald Duck series (Donald would have appeared briefly in the opening scenes). The cartoon's plot would have had Scroooge dealing with...
I don't think "Those Beautiful Dames" was edited, aside from the end title. There was a very brief scene with a wind-up minstrel "Jazzbow" band. If there were any other black toys, they were not included.
Although I am taping some of the Lucille Ball movies on TCM today, I didn't record...
At approximately 6:52 AM CST, Turner Classic Movies showed "Those Beautiful Dames,: a 1934 Merrie Melodies directed by Isadore Freleng, aka I. Freleng, aka Friz Freleng. Good looking print but no end title.
That is all.

Re: Dirty Duck feature
Is the Dirty Duck feature animated after Bobby London's style or does it just use the name and changes everything else about the strip?

Bug Update
All the cartoons on the Betty Boop set from Platinum Disc Corporation have the bug. About two minutes into each caartoon it appears and it stays for two minutes. The Platinum logo bug is smaller and more transparent than Cartoon Network's bug, but it is a bug regardless.

Li'l Abner reprints
Before they went out of business, Kitchen Sink Press was reprinting the daily Li'l Abner strips and released 27 volumes of them. Each volume contained a year's worth of strips and always had excellent essays as introductions. They were available in trade paperback and...
Last time I was at Best Buy, I was surprised to find a two-disc set of Betty Boop cartoons in their orginal Black & white for $5.99. It was made by Platinum Disc Corporation. This is the same company that also put out a two-disc set of the first ten "Blondie" movies starring Penny Singleton...
Good Books on Abbott & Costello and Jack Benny
Jon Cooke asked: "Does anyone know of any good books about Jack Benny or Abbott & Costello?"
Here are my recommendaions. Unfortunately, they are all out of print but worth looking for.
Irving Fein, Jack's manager, wrote an excellent...
I remember seeing a Simpsons short before the movie "War Of The Roses" (directed by Danny DeVito). It was the one with the Simpsons family visiting a family counselor. The main detail I recall is Bart eating all the mints out of the bowl in the doctor's office. When Homer calls Bart on it...
