It's definitely not on par with the best of Indy, but it's good fun. I've seen it twice already.
The sci-fi/alien angle is perfect. It really is. The original Indy films are melds of 30s pulp with 80s-style filmmaking, and this film is a meld of 50s pulp (ALIENS) with 00s-style filmmaking...
I dunno why it's so much easier for me to cut out DC stuff than Marvel and end up with a smaller list.
ACTION COMICS #868
ALL STAR SUPERMAN #12
FINAL CRISIS: SUPERMAN BEYOND #1
Two Supermans by Grant Morrison? Yeesh!
BATMAN #680
DETECTIVE COMICS #847
The Morrison/Dini combo here almost always...
Even cutting down my pulls significantly, I'm still a sucker for Marvel...
SECRET INVASION #5 (of 8)
SECRET INVASION: THOR #1 (of 3)
SECRET INVASION: X-MEN #1 (of 4)
SECRET INVASION: RUNAWAYS/YOUNG AVENGERS #3 (of 3)
Not 100% sold on the Thor and X-Men tie-ins yet, but I'll definitely be...
I dunno if that's the best evidence out there... Lucas really wasn't involved in the plotting, and it was considered "alternate" from the get-go. Wikipedia has some interesting info:

Anyway, solicits!

If you can't get into the series at all, though, I think you have a problem. May as well give it a chance, though... it's just a couple hours of your time. :)
Rewatching the whole series recently, I noticed episode 2x04 actually had what could be some serious foreshadowing to Tyrol being a Cylon. Tyrol's character tension is honestly a little more interesting in the second season given that he's a Cylon, and I have a feeling it plays heavily into his...
Definitely:
ACTION COMICS #866
BATMAN #678
DETECTIVE COMICS #845

Probably:
FINAL CRISIS #2
JLA VOL. 1 DELUXE EDITION hc
Possibly:
THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #14
THE WAR THAT TIME FORGOT #2
Hulk: The End is one of the most completely perfect one-shots I've ever read. I bought this hardcover despite the fact that the story is readily available much more cheaply in issue form - it's worth it to have it in a nice edition on my bookshelf.
I know it's really coincidental, but there's an odd racial bent to the title "Captain America: White" that makes me wonder if there will be a controversy over it.
Looking forward to the book, though!
ASTONISHING X-MEN SKETCHBOOK
UNCANNY X-MEN #499
X-MEN: LEGACY #213
X-FACTOR #32
YOUNG X-MEN #3
X-stuff. Continuity lately has been more interesting than it's been in years... (granted I'm not caught up on Messiah Complex yet).
ETERNALS #1
MOON KNIGHT #19
newuniversal: shockfront #2 (OF 6)...
