That's actually from 2005. During the first half of that year (at least), both DC Scandinavia and DC Middle East had unified feeds, schedule and playout, but the latter feed still displayed Arabic text on bumpers and promos during that time.
Interestingly, DC Spain used the original theatrical print of "The Lion King", rather than the 2003 Special Edition one, given the fact it starts with Frank Wells dedication (seen at 1:11 in the video).
This reminds me of how the DC MENA 2004 promo for "The Lion King" used the original Arabic...
Another CN UK/Europe continuity has spawned up - this time from April 2, 1994 with "Buford Files"/"Galloping Ghost" We'll Return bumper at the beginning:
Twoja Wizja promo loop from April 1998 - due to what it turned out to be a failed merger between Wizja TV and Canal+ only a few of Wizja TV channels were ready at the time for PTK (a Polish cable operator, later UPC Poland, now part of Play). Aside from Twoja Wizja promo channel they were...
Very interesting, considering CN UK/Europe couldn't be available in German due to German-speaking rights to crucial parts of Turner library (H-B shows/MGM cartoons/pre-48 "Looney Tunes") having been already licensed to other companies, such as Kirch Group and EM.TV.
Another CN UK/Europe continuity - this time from June 3, 1996 including rare "Captain Caveman" up next bumper and "Top Cat" rap promo (which for some reason only had the announcer at the endpage translated into Swedish):
Interestingly, there were in 2011 plans to privatize RTP1.: Public television RTP-1 to be privatized in 2012 – Portugal - Portuguese American Journal
It managed to spawn protests against it (which probably may have caused that privatization process to fell through): We Are Against the...
Cake Entertainment (mostly known for international distribution of "Total Drama" franchise among other series) partnered with TV Asahi to produce new English dub of "Doraemon" and distribute the anime in US, Canada, EMEA (except for Spain, Portugal, Italy and Turkiye), Australia and New Zealand...
Minimax Hungary continuity from between January-April 2010 - at 0:19 there's intro to "Sesame Nook" block with Sesame Street's Hungarian name:
I wonder how the intro looked like on Minimax Czech (whether the Sesame Street sign was in Czech, still in Hungarian) and Minimax Romania/ex-Yugoslavia...
Looking at Teennick's Polish schedule files at EPG VIMN site (Exactly this one: https://epg.vimn.com/teen_nick_commercial/xmltvlegal/pol/20260731.xml), I've noticed that the "Victorious" episode "Sleepover at Sikowitz's" was marked to be not broadcast in Arabic in keywords section - that's the...
That "Wacky Races" cases is notable, since the clips were PAL sped-up, while the show was almost always broadcast on CN PL/CEE and Boomerang Pan-Euro with older NTSC speed prints. The Polish dub was made on these older prints (and because of that it sounded higher pitched on Boomerang Pan-Euro...
Believe it or not, this is the first time (at least the first known for me) in Poland, a theatrical movie ("IF") premiered on TV on a terrestrial network (in this case TVN) rather than HBO (premium TV): Istoty Fantastyczne godziny emisji w telewizji, obsada, kiedy leci i gdzie obejrzeć, powtórki
In Poland on other hand, only very few channels cut the credits (mainly Paramount channels and since recently AMC and Sundance Channel, in spite of the latter being offered a la carte).
In fact, before the 2011 revision of media law act according to which stations with Polish license have to...
SBS became part owners in TVN in Poland in July 2000: SBS reduces TVN stake
However, they sold their 30,4% of shares in the channel to ITI in December 2003: TVN w 90% należy do ITI
