I was thinking about going, because Weezer is opening. Weezer's my favorite band, and while I like Blink, seeing them right after seeing my favorite band would just be a buzzkill. I'll wait untill Weezer tours by themselves again. Might try to see Blink on their next tour.

There wasn't all that much stand up. The thing that padded the film out was that there is probably an hour and fifteen minutes of stuff while George is sick, and the movie's really about when he gets better, which is what the rest of the running time consists of.

The trailer makes you think that the movie is about the redemption of George Simmons (Sandler), and it is to a degree, but it is far less manipulative that you may be led to believe. George gets sick and acts nice for a while, but when he gets better, he goes right back to his old ways, trying...

Very excited for this. Both Curb and Seinfeld are two of my favorite TV shows ever, so I'm looking forward to a pretty inventive crossover.

A few that haven't been mentioned (huge Fables and SiP fan, though) Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O'Malley- A consistently hilarious, and sometimes heartbreaking (volumes three and five, especially) series about a guy who has to defeat his girlfriend's seven evil ex boyfriends in order to continue...

I don't think the story's completely uninteresting, but it's not much different than other generic rock band stories. I might see the movie, but I'd rather see a movie about the Clash or about a hundred different bands.

I thought she was really good in Adventureland. I don't think Joan Jett's particularly worthy of a biopic, though.

I'll be getting this, though I'm curious what will be done with issue eight. They'd have to get Dave Sim's permission for the Cerebus appearance. I know that Laird had talked about redoing the whole issue at one point, but that would be totally lame. It could be omitted without much consequence...

Eh, not a huge fan of the album. I guess it could work, but they should have done this a few years ago. I'm looking forward to the new album cautiously, but it sounds like they're going for the same type of feel that was on American Idiot, so we'll see.

I haven't switched to trades yet, but I probably will soon enough. I just get a more fulfilling reading experience out of a trade than a single issue (unless it's a good one-shot or something.) Plus, it's cheaper in the long run.

It's all about Morrissey this month.
