Glad I'm not the only international MeTV Toons viewer.
America is very lucky at the moment to have 2 dedicated classic cartoon channels. Who would have guessed a few years ago, when it looked like the classics are on their way out and Boomerang moving away totally from its initial mission...
Gosh I still feel the disgust when these UP NEXT idents replaced the iconic checkerboard ones in 1998. Out of nowhere they appeared while the other checkerboard bumpers were still used, they only replaced the UP NEXT idents with these inferior ones. Thankfully they didn't last too long before...
Well, we finally got CN HD in Serbia, at least on my cable (SBB).
Anyway, the schedule right now is dreadful. Gigantic blocks of the few same shows. Where is the variety???
I've learned about all this merging stuff only last week, here, going back pages and pages to learn more and understand what's happening. I noticed a different schedule on CN, even though I barely tune into the channel these days, still I took note of Bakugan at 06.00 cet and the channel having...
Well I guess that's it for Boom. Dave's short tenure was a symbolic, last return to what Boomerang's glory days and now, once again, we have that endless loop of T&J, Looney Tunes and Scooby Doo, with a few random cartoons thrown in the mix. With the news of that new channel launching, the...
Uhm, I don't like losing a variety of shows and return to multiple hour showings of Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes. Hope it's not a sign of a return the horrible, pre-Dave, era.
The schedule is changing so much, it's hard to catch up these days. But that's good, someone is actually working and planning thigs over there, including all the special stunts and holidays.
From what I saw on Dave's Twitters, Flintstone Frolics will air in the future.
These ''special marathons'' of their most overplayed show ever, are beyond laughable. We get it from 21.00 to 06.00 CET, every single day, plus in many daily airings that are 1 hour or longer and then these ''special marathons'' in the middle of the schedule are supposed to be something special...
One thing I don't understand is why is Regular Show totally erased/ignored by CN RSEE? I'm not sure about other European CNs but we haven't had it since the show ended. It's as if it never existed. It was one of their most popular show, part of the CN renaissance, it had a primetime slot (20.05...
I rarely tune into CN these days but this morning when I did, I saw an UP NEXT bumper in the style of those UK uses, for Ninjago. I thought CN RSEE finally changed their old UP NEXT bumpers but then I saw all other shows during the day have the same old ones.
So what's up with that?
