The original BTAS design will always be my favorite, particularly when the animation was really good to back up the design, like in Mask of the Phantasm. I truly despise the TNBA design, though the BB/JL ones are nice too.
*comes out of hiding in honor of the anniversary*. It's been a while since I've posted but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to wish Batman: The Animated Series a happy 15th birthday, particularly after Jim's excellent post. It is truly hard to believe that it has been 15 years. I would have...
Wow. I just now heard about this. That's terrible! She was a great composer and will most definitely be missed. Her soundtrack to Mask of the Phantasm is one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. Kind of sad listening to it now. RIP :(
On another note, whoever posted that list of people...
My grandfather ordered a tape that had several of those roasts on it and they were all hysterical!! That "Never Got a Dinner" routine was classic! Red Buttons was a truly great comedian and a great actor. RIP Mr. Buttons, you will be missed.:(
You can still make a trilogy and have each movie stand on it's own, while at the same time continuing an overall plot. Dead Man's Chest didn't stand on it's own, and I shouldn't have to wait a year just to see whether or not I liked a movie that I shelled out a ridiculous amount to see today. As...
I just....can't believe it. 59 years old. The Babylon 5 cast is being taken from us too soon. First Richard Biggs and now Andreas. He truly was a great actor, and with Peter Jurasik created one of the best friendships on television. He will be greatly missed. RIP Andreas. :(
This movie will always be one of my favorites, and it has a unique place in my heart. It's the only movie that I saw twice in the theater in one day. I was 7 and my dad took me to see it one afternoon shortly after it was released. I was young and certain scenes were a bit scary but I got over...
:D God what a great bit of nostalgia that would have been if they had included it on the DVD. Also, I wonder why the deleted scenes weren't included for the 89 Batman?
that would have been awesome! That diet coke commercial, and the Bugs Bunny/Daffy one, are the primary reasons I still own the original VHS I bougt back in 89.
Well, I didn't get the last 2, so I don't know about the documentaries on those, but I enjoyed the first 4 parts that were on Batman and Batman Returns. I thought they were all very interesting, particularly the 3 part one on the Batman dvd. I'm amazed that they were able to get so many new...
yeah, Burton is definitely not real big on plot, and that's why I love his movies. I mean, I may be biased here when talking about his Batman films, because I basically believe Tim Burton is one of the finest directors Hollywood has ever had, and that he can do no wrong. His movies are character...
I'm loving the special features on these dvds! Listening to Jack Nicholson talk about the Joker, and that little feature that had them talking about the process of putting on the make-up and all that...was great!! Frankly, I'm surprised at the number of new interviews that were done for these...
Picked up Batman and Batman Returns this morning (along with Batman Begins and the '43 Serials). God I'm so happy they finally decided to release these on special edition. Haven't had a chance to watch them again or check out many of the special features, but I did watch the documentary on...
wow... It was AMAZING. Everything I'd hoped and more. The humor that I so loved about the show was there, the actors slipped right back into their roles, the story was great, the effects were great. There were of course some surprises. I expected one member of the crew to get killed, but not 2...
