As a kid Shonen sort of things. Now I'm older, I lean towards mystery (Lupin, Death Note), romance but RomeoxJuliet. Personally I hate Harems. I like super robot animes like Big O but not real mechas. I'm a big Miyazaki fan more than anything else so that should give you a better idea :D .
