Happy Anniversary to these forum members! (2023 edition)

Has it really been that long? And even before I joined, I was lurking for a few years. I feel kinda bad because I haven’t been here much lately, but the website will always have a special place in my heart.

"Sonic Prime" (Netflix Series) Talkback (Spoilers!)

I don’t love the show, but I think Nine is the most compelling aspect of the show right now, so I hope they can stick the landing for that character.

"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Talkback Thread (Spoilers)

I gotta say, the anime handled Squad Zero far better here. They actually match the lip service, unlike in the manga where they were treated like scrubs. Gotta say, though, this is a weird place to end the second batch, but it probably couldn’t be helped with all the new footage. And for anyone...

    Onimusha (Netflix) News and Discussion

Looks promising- at the very least can’t be worse than Capcom’s last Netflix anime (Dragon’s Dogma). Preferably, at least as solid as the Netflix Tekken anime. Kinda weird how they’re using the likeness of a long dead actor, though, and as the first name dropped in the trailer.

Bleach 20th Anniversary Project & Tite Kubo New Work Presentation (News Thread)

I’ll never get why they skipped the prologue in the first place, but whatever, better late than never. Hopefully this also indicates that Kubo will be returning to the manga soon.

"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Talkback Thread (Spoilers)

Surprisingly good episode considering this was adapting some of my least favorite scenes. I get what Kubo was trying to do with Pepe, but…I think it maybe worked too well. For those who didn’t read the manga, Byakuya’s fight against the three sternritter was originally off-screen, so it was a...

"Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War" Talkback Thread (Spoilers)

Pretty fun episode, potentially problematic content aside. Kurotsuchi isn’t my favorite character, but you can tell that Kubo loves to write him. Bringing back some of the Arrancar seems unnecessary, but eh. I guess if Naruto’s final arc can bring back a bunch of dead villains, so can Bleach...

"Blue Exorcist" News & Discussion Thread

A lot of people use the anime came out too soon excuse, but that definitely isn’t true. The first season only adapted around 4 volumes, and I believe there were already around 7 to 8 volumes worth of chapters at the time. That, on top of the anime original ending, leaves me to think they hadn’t...

"Blue Exorcist" News & Discussion Thread

I’ll be watching, but I hope they speed up releasing these. The manga is waaaayyyy ahead. We have enough content for three more seasons after this one.

Charles Martinet retires from the role of Mario

Man, he had quite a run. But I have to admit, I didn’t notice the change when I saw the new game’s trailer.

    Kong: Skull Island Anime

The show was only OK, but the King Kong flashback episode was really good. I kinda wish we got more of that.

"Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King" Movie Talkback

The film was pretty good, btw…if you’re a Clover fan, it’s completely impenetrable for newbies since it’s like 85% action. Shockingly, the main villain was actually interesting- I dare say more than most of the show’s antagonists.

    "Jujutsu Kaisen" Season Two Talkback

Season 1 already set the bar high in terms of animation/production, and season 2 somehow clears it. It’s genuinely impressive.

Pokémon Path to the Peak Discussion Thread

I never considered that they would do a show based on the TCG, but this was pretty cute and wholesome.
