Regarding the Power Man/Luke Cage thing: I'm not suggesting he should have completely reverted to the 70s incarnation. But perhaps having him simply be an energetic Mr. T-type might have been more interesting/funny.
Wasn't he a hilariously overblown blaxploitation semi-parody at one point? I seem to recall a story where he shakes down Dr. Doom for money, and Doom gives it to him. On an ostensibly comedic show, that might have been interesting.
Thanks for the brief education on Nova. I hadn't realized there...
"Waaaaah, my time is my time!" OK, seriously, Man of Action? Peter Parker may be many things, but he is not and has never been (save perhaps when under the influence of the Symbiote) an aggressive jerkbag. This open hostility is getting tiresome.
Actually, that's kind of my whole problem with...
It's funny you say that. When the Ancient Spirits told Javon to go to the highest peak to kill his son and then gave him that dagger, I was thinking, "NICE BIBLE REFERENCE GUYS."
But yeah, this was a pretty solid episode. Always good to hear Jim Cummings in a show like this, and I liked that we...
Regarding Cassandra Cain: would it be nice to see her in animation? Sure. She's a great character, and you could do some neat Spider-Man-esque "expressive mask" stuff with her in animation. But this constant outcry whenever she doesn't appear is starting to seem a little silly to me.
Man, the Team is screwed. Also, I definitely think this was a mind-control type thing for Roy, considering how surprised he was.
I can't wait to see how this all resolves and sets up for Season 2 next week. My one problem: they should've just had Cree Summer do Rocket. I've honestly never been...
Well. THAT was certainly an eye-opener. Laundry list!:
-The action just gets more and more intense with each passing episode. I can't wait to see how this conflict will now escalate with the threat of warships and the new Lantern colors we know are coming. I wonder if Hal will end up having to...
I missed bits and pieces of this, so I'll have to do a full rewatch before any kind of real analysis. I will say though that Phil Morris proves once again to be a total scene-stealer as Saint Walker; it's still that great, distinct voice, but applied to a completely different characterization...
Bit of a change of pace this week, but still pretty good. Laundry list!:
-Oh, Red Arrow. Aren't you people supposed to be genre savvy? NEVER say something like "There is no mole." It's great that you decided to stop being a little black raincloud, but you'll only regret it later.
-I do believe...
Fair point. And my problem isn't with exposition; I recognize the necessity. The point is to make it natural. To make another Brave and the Bold comparison, on that show Batman would often think to himself about the heroes he was working with in an inner monologue, and that would help get...
Maybe it was just the bland delivery, but I didn't sense any hostility or anger in those lines. Regarding the Deadpool comparison: it's the style. Yes, he tends to spout a darker brand of humor, but he addresses the audience point-blank fairly often or stuff like the dueling text boxes.
Maybe a...
