See, what's funny about this is that this very thread is the second result listed.
Anyway, I always thought Rare's "Conker's Pocket Tales" was a pretty decent, relatively underrated gem on the GBA line-up. And it's interesting to see where the series was supposed to go before it became the...
I'm very glad to see this. I've been a longtime Xbox 360 owner, but when my third one failed on me right around the time of the PS3 slim being announced, this time without giving the warrantied RROD code, I decided I'd save up for the PS3 and give the slim a go right at launch.
And, I gotta'...
I've got both an HD set and an SD set - investing in an HD set for PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 gaming is an absolute necessity, in my opinion. Beyond the readable text issue, the benefits you gain from the added resolution makes the single player experience so much more immersive and I don't know...
I think here is where my biggest problem is - the potential for undue, overpriced DLC to be profitable for no reason other than the rabid fanboys who will bite regardless of price or merit. Granted, it hasn't been as big of a problem as I thought it would be, and as you said the bad publicity...
I don't necessarily mind pre-order bonuses if for no reason other than they do seem to work in getting people to buy a game at release rather than months or years later.
And that's something I certainly support - I'm big on buying the games I want new, and within the month of release if I can...
Pretty boring and generic if you ask me. The "sharp-pointed boxes with black to gray gradients" look is done to death all over the web, and it's tiring and lazy.
Their old look was great - the shaded milky white round-edge boxes over top the white background and the colorful rainbow blocks and...
I'm sorry, but Sony's tech demo blows Microsoft's out of the water in terms of what 1:1 controlling can do for actual, demonstrated, core gamer experiences. It's some kind of combination of the Motion Plus and NATAL, which I expect will earn it all kinds of "OMG Sony's just copying NATAL"...
Sony's "me too"-ing the Motion Plus and NATAL... but unlike Nintendo and Microsoft, they're demonstrating it in more of a core gamer perspective with the FPS viewpoint and weapons and the like. The art demo is also a lot more exciting than Microsoft's.
Honestly, what ever happened to keeping the whole darn franchise console exclusive? This "lets release one game exclusively and the next one multiplatform" business with FF and MGS is driving me nuts.
EDIT:
And its online only... well, that changes things a bit.
Boy, I hope Sony actually reveals the PS3 slim. As I understand it, they wanted to wait until the stock of fat models thinned out before announcing it, but with the PS3 slim being the only unconfirmed leak, Sony pretty much HAS to announce it.
I'm really eager to buy a PS3 - there's now more...
Something I've had in mind even leading up to this. On the one hand, pre-show buzz was that all Nintendo had to do was announce a new Mario and a new Zelda or other such surprise (which, IMO, we got the equivalent of with Metroid Other M) and they'd be back in the game with core gamers.
On the...
Well played, Nintendo. You opened well, then got your "namby pamby" casual stuff out of the way, then gave us some good stuff. Good to see you've learned tremendously from last year, and that you actually give a care for us.
