This episode proves that the entire Lior plot only really works as an FMA introduction (a la the original series and the manga) and not by itself, mainly because the story's set-up relies on far too many shocking revelations that are rather old-hat (yes, even by Episode 3).

Holy crap, I never thought I'd see this series ever again. I LOVED this show back when was little, and my school always had activity books (provided by PBS, of course) based on the show.
