It’s not a possibility. CGI is far to entrenched as the dominant form of modern mainstream theatrical animation for Disney to ever consider bringing it back.
Technically, only one solitary episode aired out of order, and it seems the only reason that happened is because XD wanted something wintery to air around the holidays.
I don’t even know how to respond to the above comment. Viper, aren’t you older than me?
Cuckoo Loca is part of the reason this show works so much better than Clubhouse. The dialogue feels more natural and true to the characters and Loca’s playful sarcasm has a lot to do with that. There’s...
Uhhh, okay...
There's no real way of knowing right now if the target demo will embrace this like they did the earlier show. But it's entirely possible.
That said, I think there's nothing wrong with using this thread to discuss the quality of this show in relation to its staying power and/or...
The TV crews aren't allowed to touch Rescue Rangers, since the movie that was announced years ago is technically still a thing.
This info comes from Tad Stones, from a Lasertime podcast a couple months ago. It's in relation to what Disney Afternoon properties the new Ducktales crew is allowed...
So it's been about a year. How are things going with this project?
And since I actually missed most of this thread when it was originally active, I'M the Mike Russo who wrote the Animaniacs blog, Tim V.H. Nice to see it get recognized still.
I'm not shocked to see a variety of different looked models on Tom and Jerry in these movies. They use a pretty large hodgepodge of animators on them, many who worked with Brandt and Cervone at Startoons in the '90s. There was a comic chase scene in "The Lost Dragon" movie that had animation...
Animaniacs was lightening in a bottle. Everything that made it great couldn't possibly be replicated today. I would never want to see the show rebooted.
And like others have said, not much can be done without Spielberg's blessing. And it seems as if he's put his interest in animation from the...
My heart broke when Disney closed the Australian studio. Of course by then they were only working on direct to video sequels where their style didn't really fit the characters they were stuck working with (their animation applied to stuff like Peter Pan and Little Mermaid would often look...
I gotta say, watching Goof Troop in HD has given me renewed appreciation not only for the work Disney Australia did for this show, but every single thing they animated for Disney Television in the '90s. There are at least two animators whose styles are my absolute favorite and it's criminal that...
So that leads to what I'm concerned about. If Disney has no problem withholding episodes they're unsure about, who says all 91 episodes of Darkwing would end up being released this way? "Hot Spells" could be a causality.
And if they were nutty enough to add Bonkers, I have a hard time believing...
Hey guys, been a while.
Been watching Goof Troop on Amazon. We all know about the alterations to the opening, but in their efforts to scrub each episode into HD, Disney has also made alterations to certain episodes themselves.
There are a few episodes that, for whatever reason, feature shots...
