    Little Nemo Adventures in Slumberland

Another animated film where the talent was sorely misused and the production behind the scenes was probably way more interesting than what the final result was (Brad Bird once said that the artists were "illustrating what Ray Bradbury is writing," and Bradbury was "putting in writing what...

    Good anime for tween girl?

Kare Kano should be right up their alley if they ain't looking for constant teenage boys, looking for another Degrassi, and if they're okay with the high-art style that'll obviously go over their heads.

Anime Fan Parody Talkback Fall 2010 (READ FIRST POST!)

The many problems I find with LK's recent work were still noticeable in the movie (some of the gags went on for too long, other gags were repeated just for the sake of it, continuing jokes that got old a long time ago, making up gags no one is going to get unless you know LK personally, too much...

"Sailor Moon" and "Codename: Sailor V" Manga to be Published by Kodansha USA

Well I'll be damned (I'll save my breath for the anime once we actually hear something). Someone nudge me if this actually gets in bookstores.

An Official End of an Era

Which will be edited (the television airing that is) to make sure no one gets offended except the hardcore of fans for berating why it's there in the first place. Ah well, whatever it takes I guess. And I doubt 4Kids is the type to grab a show like "Sailor Moon", especially nowadays.

"Zero Punctuation" Talkback (Warning: Strong Language)

This week's review isn't really epic, which is a shame, since it's a Epic Mickey. Another splendid review, with a lot of good points; his comment that kids don't care for cartoons before "ThunderCats" made me laugh hard because he's right; good luck finding High School and College kids...

Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (aka The New Gainax Show) Talkback (SPOILERS)

Okay, like Don East, I don't like "Panty and Stocking" as much as all of you on this forum (I can't be the only one who thought episode 6 was nothing special. The only reason you all loved episode 6 was becuase you all didn't except a great chase sequence), but man did "One Angry Ghost"...

Toon Zone Talkback - Bugs Bunny Getting Live Action/CG Film Treatment

You know, I hate this idea as much as the next guy, but these posts aren't helping anything either. I mean, why use anime reaction pictures to express hatred for Hollywood ruining classic cartoons...again?

"That Guy With the Glasses" Talkback 12 (Warning Strong Language)

I don't have anything to contribute, but here's Gary Goldman's (a co-director of Bluth's films) response on the Nostalgic Critic... "Yes. We've seen his work. He takes pleasure in tearing down films that annoy him. Interesting way to start a career as a host or a critic. Haven't seen any...

"Am I the only one who thinks..."

Am I the only one on this forum that doesn't consider "Sleeping Beauty" to be the Walt Disney masterpiece as it's claimed by some people? Oh sure, there are elements of the movie I liked, but the whole film as of a whole stunk?

    Bad experiences on other forums.

I was called "the most useless member" by someone on another forum. That might be bad in foresight, and at the time, I saw it as a bad experience. But now, I think he was right. If anything, it was a "bad experience that later became good" in my eyes.

    TZ Summer Vacation 2010!

My dad told me the family is going on sometime around July 25th, but that's all I know so far. I have no idea what's going to happen at that time...yet.

It has been 20 years since Jim Henson has died...

How should we deal with that fact? Simple; rather than mourn that he left this world too soon, we should celebrate on what he accomplished, what he left, and the impact and inspiration of his work. That, and enjoy life to the fullest, because it's a good life, and we can enjoy it. Because...
