My apologies if this has already been asked (and I apologize at an even higher level if it’s already been asked many times in this thread), but I really, really want to know.
So what will happen with the classic Looney Tunes cartoons, as far as where they will air on television, and where the...
From Facebook group A2C Vibes:
“Jim Smith has sadly passed away at the age of 70.
The storyboard and character design artist on The Ren & Stimpy Show, Samurai Jack, Tiny Toon Adventures, The Looney Tunes Show and more.”
RIP to a legend!
Great analysis! I agree with you.
I wonder if The Brothers Grunt would also be included on that list. It was almost a more adult version of Ren and Stimpy, a program that took the gross out humor to the world of MTV. A lot of people disliked it, but I thought it was quite good. And then of...
I love Ren and Stimpy and Cow and Chicken, and I feel like C&C was the successor to the first one mentioned. I think a lot of voiceovers and animators even carried over.
What do you guys think? Was Cow and Chicken the successor to Ren and Stimpy? And if it was, did it live up to expectations...
So though the Boomerang streaming app is a thing of the past, the cable channel lives on. I still have it on Sling. I also really love MeTV Toons.
For my fellow animation fans who have both channels, which do you prefer?
I think MeTV Toons has indeed surpassed Boomerang. That Bugs Bunny 84th...
So I know the concept of the “dogface” in animation was popular way back. Maybe from the 1920s to the 1940s? And I believe it spread all across, from MGM to Disney to Warner Bros., etc.
At what point did the dogface phase out? I’m thinking maybe by the ‘60s it was gone? Because it seems like by...
Which show currently on the MeTV Toons schedule ran the closest to the modern era? Like, I know the Bible Adventures program ran into the early 1990s, but I believe The Mask: The Animated Series ran all the way to 1997. Did anything go later?
Darn, I'm still not picking anything up on 21-7. I live outside of Louisville, Kentucky, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. I hope this doesn't mean I won't be able to pick it up.
Can't wait for this network to launch!
Anyone else going to be watching in Louisville, Kentucky, or any of the nearby Kentucky/Indiana towns?
It's going to be on channel 21.7 over here, which so far has just given me a blank screen.
Hopefully when I rescan on June 25 I'II be good to go!
Rise Above by Black Flag is a legendary early ‘80s hardcore punk song. I swear, though, the beginning of the song was in something connected to Cartoon Network or Adult Swim at some point in the late ‘90s. Either a cartoon, a bumper, a commercial, something.
Anyone know what might have featured...
