A few from the top of my head.
The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper: Universal has only released Season 1 onto DVD, 2 DVDs to be exact, and the rest of the show remains unreleased.
The Beetlejuice Cartoon: Warner Bros. added 3 episodes of the show to the 20th Anniversary DVD of the film...
I hauled in a good number of titles last year.
In monthly order:
January:
The Stupids
Three Amigos
Where the Day Takes You
Jigsaw/Totem Double Feature DVD (Had to re-buy it)
Blue Vengeance (My first region 2 DVD. Rare action thriller from 1989.)
Sylvester Stallone 4-Film Collection...
I have a pretty long list of out of print films I'd like to see on DVD, but I'll just select a few from the top of my head.
No Retreat, No Surrender 1, 2 and 3 (I know those are on DVD in the UK, but region 1 DVDs of those films would be spectacular)
The Brain (1988) (Fun little horror-comedy...
Well, one of the releases I hope to get this week (or later on) is Cross My Heart. I've had that one on VHS for sometime.
I also hope to get Metalstorm: The Destruction of Jared-Syn, which also came out on DVD this week.
I happen to own a humongous VHS collection. A good amount of it consists of titles that are out of print and not on DVD and titles that have DVD releases that just so happen to be out of print and go up for as much as $30 online.
I think The Mask: The Animated Series (Based off the 1994 film) is another stalled-on-TV DVD release. When Son of the Mask was released on DVD, Wal-Mart sold an exclusive 2-pack of that movie with the 2-part pilot episode of the series. So far, this is the only DVD release of the show.
Well for me, it's a tie between Animaniacs and The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper. Universal released Season 1 of The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper on 2 DVD Volumes, but Universal has yet to either release the rest of the show onto DVD or even put the remaining episodes on...
Here's another example of such a reference. In "The Spooktacular New Adventures of Casper" episode entitled "Casper vs. The Ultimate Fan Boy", Phineas (The Ultimate Fan Boy in the episode) mentions Slappy Squirrel. He says "And push the Slappy Squirrel pogs! No one's buying the things!"
I was only a year old when the show debuted, but I then got attached to the show like maybe when I was 3 or 4. Not really sure, lol. I do know for a fact that I even had dolls of Buster and Plucky and some of the TTA toys that McDonald's gave out, as well as the VHS of "How I Spent My Vacation."...
I think that I should also mention that Disney was poked fun at, as well as referred to a few times on the ill-fated Pinky, Elmyra and the Brain. In the episode "The Raven", it's revealed that Acme Labs was turned into a Disney Store. Also, in the episode "That's Edutainment", Pinky mentions...
