DC Comics Animation - Blu-ray/DVD/Digital News & Discussion Thread, Part 19 (Spoilers)

How do you know this wall is supposed to be black? Those windows didn't come from nowhere and the silhouettes are still black. Looks more like the detail was lost in the old master.

"Batman: Hush" Animated Feature Pre-Release News & Discussion Thread (Spoilers)

Surely setting it in continuity at least lightens the workload somewhat, since they don't have to redesign and/or recast most of the characters for each new feature.

DC Comics Animation - Blu-ray/DVD/Digital News & Discussion Thread, Part 19 (Spoilers)

Amazon France lists a B:TAS set for 59.99 EUR, which is approx. $70 (Credit to user Scavenger from ResetEra). No image up yet, but this will probably be the standard edition i was hoping for in Europe. Text on the release will likely be only in French, but presumably it willl have an equivalent...

DC Comics Animation - Blu-ray/DVD/Digital News & Discussion Thread, Part 19 (Spoilers)

I get the sentiment, but for me significantly improved image and sound quality trumps everything else. It's not like this is a reissue of the same old DVDs in a fancier box.

DC Comics Animation - Blu-ray/DVD/Digital News & Discussion Thread, Part 19 (Spoilers)

The set looks nice visually, but as i said above, discs being held in pockets means i'm out for now, too impractical for my liking. It's usually a hassle to get the discs in and out and i have read horror stories of similar sets already coming with a number of scratched discs. I just don't want...

DC Comics Animation - Blu-ray/DVD/Digital News & Discussion Thread, Part 19 (Spoilers)

You folks had me worried it's $150 - $200. $112 is still a lot, but i mentally prepared myself for this price range a long time ago. I also wouldn't be surprised if the price fell towards $80 - $90 before release, even if just temporarily. In any case, with Amazon's pre-order price guarantee it...

"Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay" Animated Release Talkback (Spoilers)

Correct! :) It's probably a coincidence and not meant to be the same place, but it's certainly a fun and interesting coincidence, considering how the two films are connected.

"Suicide Squad: Hell To Pay" Animated Release Talkback (Spoilers)

In addition to Yojimbo's list of easter eggs and reused assets (i too have noticed that Rebecca Langstrom seemed to have fallen on hard times), i wanted to point out another reused art asset which cracked me up, mostly because it's so generic and blink and miss that hardly anyone would think...

I think Bestmand902 meant that 2010GT4.6V8 might have been sarcastic.

DC Comics Animation - General Animated Feature News & Discussion Thread, Part 9 (Spoilers)

I thought Reign of the Supermen is coming out next year, that's in continuity, right?

"Batman: Gotham by Gaslight" Animated Release Talkback (Spoilers)

I wasn't sold on the character designs for this story when the trailer came out, but i ended up really liking the look of all the main characters, especially Selina and Bruce. In fact, this has my favorite Bruce Wayne design in the entire DCU DTV line. I often feel like these movies could have a...

"Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay" Animated Feature Pre-Release News & Discussion (Spoilers)

Thanks for the info! Is it known in which capacity, as a storyboarder, or will he get the chance to direct again soon? In any case, i'll miss his work in the DCU line, but wish him all the best in his new endeavours.
